Our jewellers and stone setter have a wealth of experience and are used to dealing with the very best jewellery in need of restoration.

We are able to re-polish worn stones and supply replacement matching stones where necessary in order that your jewellery can be sympathetically restored to its former glory.

We can remodel tired pieces or, if you prefer, we can undertake one off special commissions – the choice is yours. You can rest assured that all work will be carried out to the very highest standards.

Watch Repairs:

All types of watch repairs are undertaken at D. Barker & Son – modern quartz watches, mechanical and antique pocket watches can all be repaired by our qualified technicians and all repairs carry a 12 month guarantee.

Clock Repairs:

Clock repairs are a speciality at D. Barker & Son – our clockmaker has over 30 years experience in the repair of quality clocks from French Carriage timepieces to antique bracket clocks and long case clocks.

Engraving:

D. Barker & Son offer a comprehensive engraving service. Machine, hand and heraldic engraving can all be undertaken by our talented and experienced craftsmen – crests and seal engraving are a particular speciality.

Valuations:

We undertake valuations for insurance and for Inheritance Tax purposes. As proud members of The National Association of Goldsmiths all valuation work is carried out by our own N.A.G Registered Valuer and with a Fellow of the Gemmological Association always on the premises we are always able to offer advice where required.
