About Us

D. Barker and Son is situated in the charming Georgian market town of Alresford in the heart of Hampshire – a place synonymous with the production of watercress and the famous Watercress Line steam railway.

With its wide range of independently owned shops Alresford is a delightful place to visit at any time of year.

Damon and Liz Barker took over the Alresford branch of Stoodley & Son in 2004 – Damon had previously managed the business since 1992 and in the 20 years following has become very much a fixture in the town.

A strong belief in providing outstanding levels of service to all our customers is a cornerstone of our business.
